GSW RECEPTA recently won the Nobel Damsel S. G3 at Belmont. Switching to the west coast she ran a very game second in the Matriarch S. G1 at Del Mar. The 4 year old Speightstown filly stalked inside and then swung out for racing room. She gained the lead in the stretch and was just nipped at the wire by a late closer. RUGBY ROAD, a 5 year old Tapit gelding, won at PARX for owner Keep it Simple Stable. He eased out wide and won off by over 6 lengths. He was bred in KY by Hargus Sexton and Silver Fern Farm and has earned over $100,000 to date.
At Aqueduct, DAISY A DAY, a 5-year-old Smart Strike mare owned by Barry Ostrager, saved ground mid-pack and then rallied wide to hit the front an inch away. She was bred by Dr. John A. Chandler. Daisy a Day has earned over $81,000.
LAVENDER CHRISSIE, a three year old Scat Daddy filly owned by West Point Thoroughbreds and trained by Dale L. Romans, won an AOC at Keeneland this fall. Today was the Christopher Elser Memorial S at PARX for 2 year old colts who trained in South Carolina. Kirkwood entry Halibut Cove did not get on the board, but another local, Balk, ran third for neighbor Donna Freyer of Custom Care Equine.
