COAL FRONT romps to make it 2 for 2

Prepared and sold by Kirkwood Stables for $575,000. COAL FRONT (Stay Thirsty) was named a TDN  “Rising Star” after romping to a 6 1/2 length maiden win at Keeneland.  Back again on the 3 day Belmont Festival card, he  broke well and pressed the pace before sailing past the field to remain 2 for 2 and win by 2 3/4-lengths.  He is owned by Robert V. LaPenta, was bred by Michael Edward Connelly and is trained by Todd A. Pletcher.

On the same day, SAINT IGNATIOUS (Macho Uno) broke his maiden at Penn National in a MSW going 6 furlongs. He is owned by Robert D Bone
